Valentines and other things...

Valentine's was really fun this year, the kids were very excited about it, almost as excited as they were at Christmas! I had wanted to do a bunch of fun crafts with them & make some fun food, but we got too busy with working on Daddy's present and catching up on things around the house after being sick, so we didn't get to do everything I'd hoped. Regardless, we had a nice time! Johnny had preschool that morning and got to have a little party there, and right after, his preschool teacher threw a party for younger kids that aren't in preschool yet, so Nate got to exchange Valentine's there! I forgot my camera, so no pics of that... For the boys we got a couple candy's, and a Leapster game for each, I would not usually do something like that, but they were on clearance at Wal-Mart for $2! I put together a basket for David with a list of reasons I love him and items that went along, it was fun, I had to get really creative! And David gave me a certificate to get a pedicure and massage! Can't wait to use it!

Some friends of ours through work traded babysitting with us so we could go on a date that night! David found this really cute little french restaurant that wasn't too crowded! It was so fun! I got to try all new food and the service was great! We ate outside, so it was really romantic!

The butter was cut into flowers!
David trying duck for the first time! It's actually really good!

My food, I know, it looks really rare in the picture, but it was delicious and cooked well.
Johnny made this cute little crown at his preschool party!
I did want to make something with the kids, so we squeezed in this cake! I found cute little x and o sprinkles at Wal-Mart.
The cake is chocolate oreo cream cake, I found the recipe on Pinterest, so good! BTW, I'm lacking in the cake decorating department, just ignore that...
Out to dinner Valentine's evening! That is not a beer bottle on our table, well, sort of, they have what's called Ginger Beer, it doesn't have alcohol, I loved it, David hated it! It's like Ginger Ale but more actual ginger in it.
What's left in David's I love you basket.
I took these pics at the park down the road a couple weeks ago...

This was also a couple weeks ago, we were downtown all day training people for work and decided to eat at Old Spaghetti Factory after.

Thanks to a friend telling us this trick, we keep Nate dressed now! 90% he wears pj's backwards!
The boys being silly.

Some friends from Logan moved to Gilbert a couple years ago and we got to go visit them the other night. It was so fun to see them and see their cute boys! We also got to drive by this! The temple! It's interesting how excited we were driving past this the other night, I drove past temples everyday in Utah. I guess after not seeing any in a month and a half, I'm realizing how much I took it for granted. I'm very excited to go here when it's completed!
Just had to throw this in, this kid falls asleep in the funniest positions sometimes!
Last week I also worked on making a bunch of freezer meals! This is the first time I've ever made any! I'm so excited! It's so nice to have them as an option when you've got a busy day of running errands, or if you're not feeling well. The boys helped make them, and picked at black olives! We made 12 the other day, and I'm planning on making several more this week!
I'm not sure what Nate was doing here, but it was mixed in with our freezer meal pics, so it was one of those days!
This is the first one we're eating!
Here's the stash!
Oh, and a couple more! I can't believe I've made them before! It didn't take too long, I tried to make them in groups, all the meals with chicken at the same time, then all the meals with beef, etc. And I discovered that Johnny loves to cook! He is so well behaved when I ask him to help me cook!
