And the winner is......
Jefrilyn!!! Johnny has slept through the night the last 4 or 5 nights now, and has slept about 11 hours at night. His naps are now about 2 1/2 hours long. Thank you Jefrilyn for suggesting passionfruit juice, we doubled how much we gave him the first night, and have a new system with it. We also ran to the store and picked up a cd player and a lullaby cd that has music and rainforest sounds in the background; we leave it on repeat all night and he seems to like that. Instead of cracking his door we are completely closing it, then he know we can't see into his room from ours and hasn't been calling our names in the middle of the night. It's been so much better, we've got a lot done in the evenings (we've also been putting him to bed an hour and a half earlier), and we don't feel so sleep deprived in the morning. I'm hoping this system we've got works for a long time!!!

Sleep Anyone?
I know I've asked for tonz of advice lately, but I'm going to ask for a little more. Johnny started sleeping through the night when he was 8 weeks old. He was great for a long time, he'd just have problems when we were out of town, and for the first couple days when we got home. Now, he's almost 15 months and is awful at it. He wakes up 5-6 times a night crying, then yells Mommy, or Daddy until one of us comes. We've tried letting him cry it out, but he can totally outlast us, he's gone for more than 2 hours, plus we feel awful about it. We've tried the supernanny method and gone in and said nothing but "Sshhhh" and laying him back down, then waiting 5, 10, 20 min between each other time. Still no luck. We've been told that Passionfruit juice helps kids sleep, so we're currently trying that. We did it last night and also no luck. We're going to increase how much we give him tonight and see if that does any good, but I'm going crazy, we haven't slept in weeks. He gets a total of maybe 8 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period, including naps; and he's supposed to be getting at least 12. He doesn't even act tired half the time. I know a lot of people have younger kids than us and may be having the same problems, but I'm open to any suggestions at this point. We've got to find something that will work, he is so stubborn.....Thanks for reading this, sorry, just had to vent a little.

JJ Cole Diaper Bags...
I texted a few people about this earlier, but I found a girl in Salt Lake who's dad did some work for JJ Cole and got her a bunch of stuff way cheap that she won't be using. She has a couple bundleme lites and 3 diaper bags that's she doesn't want. They are all new, she's selling the bundleme's for $15 and the diaper bags for $35 each. She has a tan, pink, and a slate colored bundleme; and the graphite-green colored diaper bags. If anyone in Logan is interested in getting one she'll be up this way next week and can bring them up. I just bought a diaper bag and it's brand new, they're usually $70. Let me know if you're interested in one and I'll tell her, she's probably bringing up a couple more things for me as well. She also has some of the other JJ Cole items listed on their website, she's selling everything half price or less.

Doctors?
Johnny does not currently have a pediatrician that we see, when he was born we had one, but we had a couple bad experiences with him and decided to stop taking him there. He's been a little sick this last week and it's not getting better so we're looking for someone good here in Logan to take him to. Also, we will need someone when the new baby's born so it'd be nice to find someone ahead of time. If anyone knows of a good doctor up here please leave a comment and we'll check them out. We are into more natural things and don't want a doctor that will judge us or criticize the way we do things. We'd just like one for when our children truly do need to go in and also for the first couple of months after they're born to check their growth. Let us know......we don't want to go in not knowing anything about the doctor. Thanks.

Digital Scrapbooking!!!
I am so sick of winter. It's hard being stuck inside all the time. There's always cleaning to do, but once that's done I'm looking for something or else I'm tempted to shop. So, I've found my new free hobby, digital scrapbooking. You can probably tell from my blog background and header that I was very bored during Johnny's nap today. These are all my first attempts, I'm hoping that I get better at this. But, I made this little "Snow" page the other day during his nap, and I know he's not in the snow in it, but I couldn't find any other pics that would work. I'm apologizing in advance if I post a million of these things as I make them, but blogger is my personal journal as well and it helps me save things.

Help!!!
I am terrible at decorating, and I'd really like to get my new place organized and decorated. Since we're going to be here a while I'd like to do something cute, and also with the boy's rooms I'd like to actually do something this time. So, if anyone has any good ideas or free time let me know because I could use some help. I never know what to buy or where to put things and guy's opinions don't help. If you like decorating and would like something to do give me a call......

Mistake or big help?
So, I recently got a kids dvd for Johnny and now I'm wondering if it was a good thing or not. I noticed that he seemed interested in the Wiggles when they're on tv and we were at the store the other day and their "Dance Party" dvd was only five bucks. So I thought I'd be a nice mom and get it for him. Well, turns out he absolutely loves it, not only does he love it, but it is now the only thing he will watch. We have all of our kids movies down low in a basket so he can pick shows for himself and he's begun dumping it out and digging through the dvd's until he finds the Wiggles and then brings it to me and begs and won't stop saying "Pease, pease" until I put it in. That would not be so horrible if it weren't 4-6 times a day everyday. The upside of this is that the show keeps him happily entertained for approximately 35 min at a time and I can clean the kitchen and get some things done. The bad thing....I can't watch any shows without him turning off the tv and asking for his show, I have really stupid songs stuck in my head twenty four seven, and because of a section where they do magic tricks, Johnny thinks I can magically make anything he wants appear by clapping my hands; when I can't he cries and says "magic tricks mommy". So, I guess I have to go with the pros on this one though, I can actually get some things done, he's exercising while watching tv, he's learned several new words from the show, and it wears him out for his naps. I will just constantly be singing "di dicky do dum di dum do" in my head.....don't ask.....

Video
We took this video a couple weeks before moving but haven't had a chance to post it yet. Johnny found where I kept the lids to the pots and decided they were instruments, it was so cute.
Pics
I don't have pictures of our place yet, I'm hoping to get it decorated soon and cleaned up so I can post some, but here are a couple from Christmas and right before we moved. I only have two from Christmas because our battery died, but you can see a little bit.

Logan's first real snow day, we bundled Johnny up to go out and play.
Johnny had a big sore on his cheek for Christmas....
He couldn't decide what to play with.

Another Update.
So, I guess I should probably just tell everybody this, I've been waiting a while, but if I don't just say it Davie will probably tell you anyways. We are having another baby! And yes, I really have waited a long time to tell anyone.....we're 19 weeks today, and it's a...............BOY!!! Johnny's gonna have a buddy here in a few months. We had our big ultrasound today and everything looks good. We're way excited to expand our family again, although I'm a bit more nervous about having 2 than 1. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to get anything done, but I'm sure it'll work out. My due date is June 4....so summer baby. We've been debating names, and haven't agreed on anything, so we're open to advice and I'll also post a survey with the names we've thought about, see what people think.

If anyone's upset about finding out this late I'm very sorry, we don't like to tell early on in case something goes wrong. Also, we just barely told our families over Christmas, so they haven't known very long either.
So, if you see me around, you now know that I am fatter for a reason, it's to the point where I can't really hide it anymore.....

Catching Up!
We've been so busy in the last month we haven't had any time to update our blog. I didn't mention this sooner because I wasn't sure if it'd go through or not, but Davie and I bought our first place last month. It's a 3 bedroom condo just a few blocks where we were living. We looked at some homes north of Logan but decided it was better for us to be living in town for the next few years while Davie's finishing up school. It's not anything big, but it's bigger than our apartments and a lot nicer. The sellers did a lot of work fixing it up and they put in a new kitchen, so it's a step up for us. We're so excited to be done renting and to have our own place. Johnny likes the new place, it's a much better layout for him and he can run around a bit more. We also have a small fenced in backyard, Johnny keeps asking to go play out there, but it's been so cold and snowy, he needs to wait a couple months. We're still getting things settled, we didn't have much time last month with Christmas, but it's getting there. When we're all done organizing I'll post pics.
Christmas was a lot of fun this year. We spent it at Davie's parents. We went down a couple days before and got to stay for about 5 days. All of Johnny's cousins were in town and he spent the whole time chasing them around and playing. When we came home he kept asking for "Miram", (cousin Miriam). On Christmas Eve we went to the Nutcracker, a tradition in Davie's family, it was lots of fun, it was fun seeing how excited the younger kids got about it. Johnny was excited about his presents Christmas morning, but then saw his cousins and aunts and uncles presents and wanted to play with those instead. Now that we're home he's been playing with his toys though and has been way excited about them. Davie was awesome and got me new kitchen stuff for Christmas this year. We now have real pots and pans! He also got me a spice rack and a new knife set that matches our new kitchen. Davie had to wait a couple days after Christmas to get his main gift, it had to be hidden at my parents so he wouldn't find it early, but I got him a painting he really wanted, "The Prayer at Valley Forge". It's the only picture hanging up at our house right now.....he couldn't wait to hang it. We had a lot of fun with our families this Christmas, and it was a nice break from moving.
Things are getting back to normal here, we've all been really sick this last week so we haven't got much done, but we're hoping to get better and to finish organizing our new place soon. As soon as we're done we'll post pictures.
