More Christmas...

Christmas was so rushed for us this year because of the move, a couple days before we decided to do something fun with the kids and try and make it fun still. I found this cute idea on Pinterest, you make cupcakes and put a waffle cone upside down on it, and then decorate them with frosting to look like Christmas trees. It was a very messy project with 2 little boys, but that had a blast and we did too!

Here's Johnny working on his, his was for sure the messiest!
David's turned out pretty good....can you tell he's a BYU fan?
Nate was in frosting heaven! He was wound up for hours after!
Here's mine...
David's all finished!
Johnny's
Nate's...he mostly ate and I helped him spread the frosting around.
And sadly, my picture did not turn out, but it looked really cool! Maybe we'll do it again this Christmas!
Here's a pic after Santa came Christmas Eve! I'm hoping this Christmas we don't have to rush through everything, it's hard to believe it's only been a month since Christmas, so much has happened.

Still bloggin...

I know I always say I'm going to keep up on this blog, but I really do plan to this time. Things have settled down for us a little now and I'm finding time to get some stuff done! This first post is to catch up!

Johnny & I went out to lunch on his birthday a couple months ago. It was so fun to have some one on one time with him. It's still hard to believe that he is 4!
I saw this fun wreath on Pinterest and had to make it! I can't wait til fall again to put it up!
Another Pinterest thing! I've been wanting a cute apron for a while now and finally found an easy, but time consuming tutorial to follow!
Johnny got these cute Cars 2 legos from Grandpa & Grandma Moore for his birthday. He loves them and keeps taking them apart and rebuilding them, they are so fun!

Our Christmas tree this year, Nate would not stand still for the pic.
We went to the Children's Museum with Emily in December, the boys had a blast hanging out with Ickyness. (lol)

Santa stopped by our ward Christmas party. This is the first time Nat has willingly sat on his lap.
I'm not sure what Johnny was doing here....
Waiting in the car while running some errands with Daddy, the boys each wanted to take a pic with me.
You can kind of see my new hair color in the pics. It looks more red in person.
The boys got to go to Jungle Jim's as a gift from their cousin for Christmas. They had so much fun riding rides and playing with cousins. Thanks Makay!

Johnny had so much fun with his cousin Miriam, they get along so well.

Nate's favorite thing was the airplane ride, I think he really thought he was in control of the plane!
We stayed home for Christmas this year and just relaxed. Emily & her boyfriend (now fiance) Tyler spent the night and joined us for Christmas morning. Christmas Eve was fun, we did our new tradition of a big turkey dinner & making yummy treats for Santa. Johnny kept asking if it was time for bed all day hoping that if he went to bed Santa would come sooner. Both Johnny and I started feeling kind of sick on Christmas Eve so we did a lot of relaxing around the house. Christmas morning we started around 6, the boys were very excited! It was really fun since it was the first year they both understood it! I ended up laying on the couch feeling sick with the flu most of the day.
My boys Christmas morning checking out their stockings!
Since about August Nate kept telling us that all he wanted for Christmas was a Lightning McQueen scooter. Santa granted his wish! He had no interest in any other gifts for several hours.

The boys love Transformers and Star Wars right now, Santa brought them a Bumblebee mask and a Darth Vader mask. Nate wore the Darth Vader mask once but is now scared of it!
We practically had to force Nate to open gifts, he just wanted to keep riding his scooter!
Johnny and Nate both got Green Lantern action figures and rings, they love to run around with their rings on and pretend to zap each other with them!

Christmas was a good relaxing day, minus the sickness. We got to talk to my brother Stephen on his mission. It was so fun! We talked forever! He is doing really well and seems so happy, you can tell he is really enjoying himself, and I'm so proud of him for working so hard!

The day after Christmas we took down all decorations and started packing like crazy for our move. On Wednesday David went to pick up the moving truck and first thing Thursday morning we started loading up.....

Arizona

Wow, I have so much to do to get caught up on here. I'll do that all soon, just wanted to let everyone know that we have moved.....again. It's been a crazy couple months since I found out we'd be moving, I guess I've been in denial. It was really hard moving out of Logan, and I finally felt at home in Farmington, and like we had friends there, and then we had to move again! There were lots of nights spent crying, and I didn't pack anything until the last min. David's job has brought us to Arizona. We're living in Surprise, a suburb of Phoenix. We've been here almost a week, and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It's looking like this will be more long term here, so less moving for us, hopefully. It's really hard moving away from home and friends and family with kids. The move down was not easy, and really an awful experience, details to come. But we're here and we've found a place and moved in. Luckily it's in a good neighborhood and a nice part of town. Homes are very affordable here, and that helps a ton.

Some differences I've noticed between Utah and Arizona:

1. The weather, I do like the weather right now, but I'm told I'll hate it pretty soon when it gets super hot.

2. It's super FLAT here! It's kind of bugging me how flat it is. All the roads are flat, you never go up or down, just the same level all the time. I'm not used to that at all.

3. It's considered good if you have yellow grass.

4. At the grocery store, someone called over the intercom "customer service to the booze isle please"! Never heard that before!

5. People get WAY into New Years here! I've never heard so much noise on New Years Eve in my life.

6. The homes are laid out kinda funny, most homes we looked at had a livingroom and family room, but the family room's are upstairs by the bedrooms and called "lofts", the layouts of homes are just odd here.

7. A lot of houses have their own driveway and then share a common driveway with other homes on their street, they call it a "pod", I don't really know the point of this, we have about the same amount of space as in Ut, just are further away from the street.

8. There are orange trees everywhere, definitely a plus.

9. People that work at stores are overly friendly and helpful, but it takes 4 times as long to get shopping done here because there are so many more people at the store.

10. Leaving Wal-Mart, I got rewarded by a police officer for returning my shopping cart to the stall. He gave me stickers and candy, lol.

It's not bad here, just not home. I know it's only been a week, so it kind of feels like we're on some sort of weird vacation, but I do miss my ward and family and friends. Hopefully we can adjust soon, we're getting the house organized and have met a couple of neighbors, I think it'll be better when we meet people in our ward. I'm trying to stay positive and look for the good in this, it's a major adjustment for sure though! Pics coming soon!

Snow and Monsters Invaded My Yard!

So, last Saturday we woke up to this lovely white stuff all over outside! Then I come downstairs and find these lovely little monsters begging to go out an play in it!

Aww!!! Love when they're buddies!

Look at that scary monster!
The "baby" snowman! I forgot to get a picture of the grown up one they made with Daddy.

Look who's 4!!!

I cannot believe that my little boy is 4! He is growing up so so fast! He is very into big kid toys and games now, and does not want to do anything he thinks little kids should do! On his birthday Johnny and I went shopping and out to lunch at IHOP. Johnny loves IHOP! He thinks it's so cool that you can get pancakes at any time of the day there. It was so fun to spend part of the day alone with him and just talk, I'm realizing he is way smarter than I've thought. He also has his own likes and dislikes, he is very blunt and will tell you all about the things he doesn't like! After lunch we came home and David and Nate had all of Johnny's presents out for him!

I LOVE when he gets this excited and makes this face! It's hard to catch on camera!
Johnny has been wanting a Leapster for a while, and I'm sold on them now. He has been learning a lot from it and teaching his brother a lot too!
He was also very excited to get a nerf gun, he likes to have little wars with David.
Johnny is also very into Star Wars right now, anything Star Wars he loves.
He got several Transformers too! Which David loves! He's played with them more than Johnny!
I love this, he just crashed on the kitchen floor to play his Leapster.
These K'NEX have been awesome! They entertain him for hours!
Since his last birthday Johnny has been talking about how he wanted to have a "Pretzel" birthday party! It was totally random, but he kept talking about it, so we went with it. So here's his pretzel cake, kinda sloppy, but I tried.

The party quests, the whole sunbeam class and their parents! It was so fun, we're so glad everyone could make it!
My handsome little...I mean BIG guy! I'm so lucky to be your mom and have you in my life, I love you Johnny!
