Just a warning, there will be lots of updates after this one, I've been meaning to post these things forever!
Anyways, this is what happens when Johnny gets a warm chocolate chip cookie right before bedtime. As you can tell, he devoured it!

5 Months....

In 1 hour and 6 minutes Natey will be 5 months old! It's so crazy how quickly (and slowly at the same time) it's gone by. He is getting so big, he's about 17 lbs now, and getting really tall. He is getting pretty good with his hands and grabs everything in reach and puts it straight in his mouth. We really have to watch him or else he gets things he not supposed to get. He and Johnny are really starting to like eachother, Natey smiles at Johnny all the time and laughs at him, and Johnny's started to share toys with Natey and try to calm him down when he's upset. It's so cute, I love when my kids get along. Here are some pics of our cute little guy.......
This pic reminds me of someone.....
He loved this toothbrush and wouldn't let go, this is Emily holding him when she came to visit us.

Family Home Evening...

Ok, I know I post a lot lately, but we've been busy busy and had a lot to share. Yesterday for family home evening we decided to carve the "HUGE" pumpkin. Johnny got so into it, he was a little backwards though and kept trying to put the seeds and everything back into the pumpkin. We asked him what he wanted to carve on it and showed him a bunch of jack-o-lantern pictures, but he said over and over that he wanted to carve a ghost. So, I found a picture online and did my best to copy it and draw it on the pumpkin, the picture looked better though.
We had a hard time getting the top of because the pumpkin was so big.
Johnny wouldn't stand back while Davie got the pumpkin ready.
Finally, he got to use the big spoon and scoop seeds out.
This was the best smile I could get out of him.
Our finished pumpkin......

4 Months Old!

I forgot to post about Nathan. He had his 4 month check up the other day. It went really well, he is 15 lb 4 oz. 27 inches long, and I can't remember the exact circumference of his head. His measurements put him in a very random percentile overall. His weight is exactly in the 50%, length 95%, and head 3%. Pretty unbalanced, haha. But, he looks normal to me, the doctor says he's not worried about his head though, because that's exactly how Johnny was and how their dad is. Overall he's growing well and very healthy!

Coloring/ Happy 100th!!!

Sorry, lots to catch up on lately. So, Johnny has never been one to color much. He usually draws one line and runs off to do something more interesting. However, in the last couple weeks he's decided that he loves it! I am also loving this, it's something quiet he can do when I need some peace.

Johnny's three favorite things right now are airplanes, the "trash guy", and pumpkins. After playing with his pumpkin yesterday he decided to color these things with chalk, he was so proud when he finished and showed me his pictures and explained what they were.....

This is the airplane...
This is the "trash guy"....
And this is him drawing a pumpkin, I forgot to get a picture when he finished.
I love his cute little imagination and that he's starting to settle down and take time to be creative, it's so cute!

P.S. This is my 100th post! I can't believe I have this many! These balloon pictures are in celebration!

The "HUGE" Pumpkin

This week has been crazy busy, everyday so far. One of the fun things we did was on tuesday. Davie's mom and sister Kaycie came up and visited with us for the day. Johnny had so much fun showing off, he pulled Kaycie all over the place with him and made her play with all his toys, color outside with chalk, and she even got a taste of "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse".

The highlight of the visit, for Johnny, was when GG and Kaycie brought a "HUGE" pumpkin out of the car for him. He has literally been walking around since Tuesday saying "HUGE pumpkin" over and over again, and telling and showing everyone he sees about it. He told our next door neighbor, this young guy on the USU football team, and was just yelling it over and over at him and telling him to "come hold HUGE pumpkin". Poor guy couldn't go inside his house, lol. It had been cute watching him play with the pumpkin and try to pick it up. Here are some fun pictures of him yesterday....

He was talking to our neighbor, again, when I took this picture.

He keeps trying to pick it up, I guess this is his new technique.

I love this picture, sorry to brag, but I think Johnny has the cutest eyes in the world.

Again, trying to pick it up, he won't stop trying.

Telling our neighbor, again, as he's walking to his car.

Classical Music & Some Pics

So, I'm obsessed with classical music lately, it helps keep me sane with kids crying and needing my attention all the time. I was trying to find this piano song from Twilight on my playlist and it came up with several different things called Bella's Lullaby that aren't really it, but they were all so pretty, so that's the music playing on here, oh, and Clair De Lune.

I found a somewhat recent picture of myself to put on here, (a couple people were asking) and we took some cute ones tonight of me and Natey. I look funny in these because it's late and my contacts aren't in......

He is getting so big, he was smiling a ton so we decided to take pictures, but as soon as he saw the camera he stopped smiling. He's just so cute anyways!

Where have we been?

Well, the last few weeks have been super busy for us. The first week of August Davie's sister Kaycie got married! We went down to Salt Lake for her wedding and reception, it went really well, she looked so pretty and happy.

Davie quit Qwest about a month ago, it was good for us for a while, but things were getting ridiculous. They started cutting employees benefits without informing them, and stopped paying tuition, but only for some employees. They came to us in July and took back Davie's tuition, which had already been paid in January, for the spring semester. That really hurt us, because in order to register for fall semester Davie had to go back and re-pay the spring tuition. It was such a joke, oh well, we're done with them.

So, wondering what Davie will be doing instead? We thought long and hard and prayed a lot before coming to this decision, but we think this could be a good thing for our family, Davie is going to be joining the Air Force.
He is not going in enlisted though, he started the ROTC program at school this semester and will be going in as an officer when he has finished school. Right now he is doing full-time school and not working, he is hoping to pick up a part-time job soon. Asfor finances, we have some savings and after boot camp next summer, we will start getting some money monthly from the Air Force.

The week before school started we went camping up at the cub river. My brother and his family, and Davie's family came with us. It was so much fun, we played volleyball, the boys tossed around a football, and Johnny loved running around outside with his cousins. There were a bunch of cows that kept walking by our campsite and the kids thought they were cool to see so close. Nathan loved camping and didn't cry the whole time, I'm thinking he needs to go camping more often. I forgot my camera at home, so I'm collecting pictures from family and will post them soon.

Another thing we've done recently is see Harry Potter 6, twice....we love it! I was expecting an ok movie when we went, but it was hilarious! Davie is so excited for part 7 that he might actually read the book with me. (Those who know Davie know that he doesn't read for fun.)

Davie started school last week, and so far it's going well. He is taking a class from someone we know, so that's a little weird and puts extra pressure on him to do well in that class. On Mondays and Wednesdays he has to be to school at 6 a.m. for physical training for ROTC. That's been kind of rough on us, he feels out of shape, and I actually have to climb out of bed earlier on those mornings since he's not home to take care of Johnny, he is a MAJOR morning person. I'm trying to become one.

The boys are doing well and growing like weeds. Natey Poo (that's my new nickname for him, I can't stop saying it) is getting really long and chunky, and Johnny grew a couple inches too. We've spent the last couple days getting new clothes for them for fall and winter and because all their pants are too short. They are starting to like eachother more and Johnny is starting to want to play with Natey, I'm so excited for them to play together someday and to be able to get things done around the house without stopping every two seconds!

So, that's what's up with us, pictures will come soon, I just need to remember to take my camera with me places.
