So, life has been incredibly busy lately. We've been busy with David finishing up his semester at school, getting things going with work, and moving to Farmington. Also I've been working from home since the move. The work is fine, I've done it before, the hard part has been not feeling like a mom since we moved and I've started working, it's really been affecting my kids. I'm training a replacement right now, so I can just do a little bit of work from home after my kids are in bed for the night. I think I'll feel a lot better about things once that's taken care of.
Farmington is good, although we feel a little out of place here still. I'm so used to Logan now, the way it's set up, our ward there, our friends, it's hard adjusting to how different it is here. I'm not used to living near the freeway, and actually driving on the freeway several times a week. There are only 2 grocery stores in Farmington, which is very different than Logan; for most shopping we have to drive to Centerville or Layton, which is much farther than you would go in Logan. People seem a lot busier here too, in Logan all our friends were in school too and just starting out, here people work a ton and are more established I guess. I'm not used to the lifestyle people have here, they are very spendy, I guess because they can be. I'm used to more frugal people and getting creative when there's something you need. I'm sure as soon as I'm not working all day I can get out more and meet friends and adjust better. Right now it's a little hard though, kinda homesick for Logan.
The good things here are.....we live in an actual house! (Pictures coming soon) We're renting our place out in Logan, and renting from a family down here for now, we don't want to buy yet because we may have to move over the next couple years for Davids job. But the house is great, I've never had so much kitchen space, I don't really know what to do with it all. We have more bathrooms here too, which is a plus with a toddler that can't hold it when he needs to go. The people we're renting from were going to get rid of their old piano, but decided to leave it for us, which is probably my favorite part! The main level is really open, which is great with kids. We also have a normal backyard and a garage, which makes things so much easier! We can see Lagoon out of a window if you are standing at the top of our stairs, Johnny loves watching the Ferris Wheel when it's going. We may have to invest in season passes since we live so close.
Here are some pics from my phone, one of the boys lost my memory card out of the camera, so no normal pics til I get a new one.
