Hard Work Paid Off

For the last few months we have been stressing out about potty training Johnny. We've tried a few times and always ended up giving up. Johnny didn't seem interested sometimes, or didn't seem to get it fully. A couple months ago he started talking about how much he wanted to get a bike, not just any bike, a Spiderman bike that he saw at the store. Davie and I talked about getting it for him for his birthday this year or for Christmas, both of which are in the winter time. We were feeling really bad because he wouldn't be able to ride it after he got it and he'd have nothing to ride all summer. So, we told Johnny that if he could use the potty from now on he could earn the Spiderman bike. He worked SO hard, he's had a few accidents, but is doing really well. For over a month he's been talking about how if he goes on the potty and wears underwear he gets a Spiderman bike. Last weekend he finally earned it! It was so fun going to the store and picking it up for him! I've been looking forward to the day I could give him a bike ever since we found out we were having him. He was SO excited when he saw it, and that he got to keep it instead of just riding it at the store! He tells everyone about it! It took a couple of hours, but he's got it down now and rides it so well. We've been on several walks this week, he wants to ride his bike everywhere!
