Spring Break....So Far

So this week is spring break for Davie, he was supposed to be in Seattle for half of it, but the trip was canceled. It was great for us, we headed down to Salt Lake on Saturday to spend some time with Davie's family. We had tons of fun, we went to dinner with Davie's parents on Sat, they know this cool little thai restaurant, I usually don't like thai food, but I LOVED this place, it was so good! Sunday we relaxed and Davie made Brazilian food for us all for dinner, we love Tucano's and he found some of their recipes online, it was awesome. We just hung out Monday and let the kids play with their aunts and uncles, I made a cute watch with Davie's mom, I love it, I can't wait to make more bands to switch with it. That evening we went to the park for family home evening, we flew kites and shot off rockets. Johnny loved it, it got really cold and he was shivering but did not want to leave and go inside. Nate even got to fly a kite, he thought it was so cool, he just held it and laughed. The weather was so nice on Tuesday so we went to Hogle Zoo, it was tons of fun. Johnny loved every minute of it and has never been so well behaved in his life! My kids are so good and so easy at the zoo! We ended up getting a membership so we can go a bunch this summer. That night Davie and I cooked his parents dinner, Davie makes amazing lobster, and I just learned to make shrimp scampi. It was so good, I wish we could afford to eat like that every night. Kaycie and Matt came over and we had fun playing games with them for a few hours. Wednesday was also a beautiful day, we played outside a bunch with the boys and then headed home, the drive was so long because early that morning a huge oil tanker crashed on the freeway and northbound was closed forever for them to clean it up. We had tons of fun relaxing and visiting with family, today we did our spring cleaning, we had a HUGE D.I. pile by the end of it. This evening we got to go on a much needed date (thanks Nicky and Patrick), we had so much fun just having an evening without the kids. We went out to eat at Cafe Rio, where we ran into my doctor that delivered the boys, (we told him it'll be a while before we're in his office again, lol). After dinner we went bowling, which if you wait til after nine on thurs, is really cheap in Logan, we were excited to find out about that. Then we had to get groceries, but it was fun to go with just the two of us and goof off. Anyways, so far, it's been a nice spring break, tomorrow we're going to get started on our garden for this year! So excited for fresh veggies and pretty flowers!
My cute new watch, I love it!
This peacock was so cool, it was huge! It opened it's feathers right as we walked up!Nate loved the monkeys, he wouldn't look at the camera. When we left the zoo, Johnny asked me if he could have an elephant! My favorite picture, Natey wouldn't stop laughing, he had so much fun!The cute baby elephant, I think I want one too...j/k.Johnny loved these wierd looking monkeys, he kept knocking on the glass and talking to them. The giraffes were our other favorite.Natey was very confused about the giraffes, he kept giving him the funniest looks, we couldn't catch it on camera though. The tigers were right by the fence, then walked away as soon as we took out the camera.Natey relaxing, checking out the camels. This camel was Huge, and wouldn't turn around.Johnny also wanted to take this gorilla home, this was my favorite animal.Check out Natey standing! He still needs to hold onto things, but he's getting it.He wasn't sure what to think of the train ride at first.Johnny has been asking for like a year to ride on a train, so here he is very excited!Waiting for everyone to get on....He was sick of me taking pics...Natey was so excited when the train started going! The front of the cute little train, they could've road this all day. We let Johnny play at the zoo playground for a while, he loved the elephant slide.
I love this picture, Johnny being a turtle!

I need to learn how to make watches! I'm allergic to metal and brake out in rashes when it's in contact with my skin. Is it easy to learn? It's way cute! I'm sure you can make multiple bands to go with all your outfits :-)

Hey LaNae, they are way easy, you just need to go to a craft store or bead store that sells the watch faces and pick one out, then find some beads you like and make a cute band for your watch. They can match the clips to your watch face for you, and you use that stretchy string.

We just went to the zoo a few weeks ago! My girls LOVED the giraffes & were terrified of the gorillas!
