The Nate Face!

Natey has this "Face" he's done since he was about 4 or 5 months old. At first it was really random, but as he's gotten older we've noticed he usually does it when he's pouting or when you tell him no or to stop doing something. I got a very blurry picture of it back in February, and then the other day he did it for so long I was able to snap a few good pictures of it. Good enough to finally share on here!
Presenting "The Nate Face"

I saved this one for last, this gives you the best view of how it looks in person.

We're thinking maybe he got the idea from watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, cause it kinda looks like Donald Duck and the faces he does, but we love it!

Family Fun!

Another quicky update, also, the pics are totally out of order. First off, we went camping just the 4 of us for the first time the other night. The boys had a blast and were filthy dirty!
Natey Poo in the tent in the morning.
Johnny also loved waking up in the tent!
Scary pic of me and Natey.
Johnny staying up too late.
Our awesome tent, we love this tent, it's the perfect size and has all the features we love.
Davie roasting a hot dog.
Johnny pigging out on hot dogs.
I've been in crafty/sewing moods lately, so the other day I made some flowers for my hair. I wanted something to match my favorite church skirts so my hair looks a little nicer on Sundays. Here's the first one, it's just a barrette I can clip in.
And this second one is a headband with a flower on it, I tried to match it with this skirt.
Another pic of the headband. This flower was way fun to make, I'm thinking of making a few more like it.
We went to Hogle Zoo again last week and Johnny had tons of fun visiting his "Garnola friend".
Natey loves books right now and carries them around pretending to read.
This is what happens when you let a 2 year old dress themselves. He wore this outfit all day and we even went to the store like this!
Handsome boy, I love when he wears this hat.
Just so cute!
We went on a family hike a couple weeks ago, Johnny hated it the whole time, and Natey loved it, they are so opposite. Johnny ended up on Davie's shoulders so he'd stop complaining about having to walk.
Me & Natey, he also had to be carried, not a pro at walking yet.
We met another nice young couple on the trail & they were nice enough to take a pic for us. The boys look so excited, lol.

Happenings!

I decided a while back that I was too obsessed with computers and blogs, which is why I haven't updated nearly as much, but I think it's time for one.
In the last month...... Our kids have somehow gotten cuter!
Davie turned 27 and we had a Pirate birthday party for him!
Natey still hates hats.
Johnny decided he loves hats!
We planted a garden and are already enjoying yummy fresh fruits and veggies!
The boys argue a ton, but when they're getting along it's sure cute!
We got a sandbox! Thanks Dad!
Natey loves the sandbox, and we love his oh so serious faces!
We did fireworks with GG while the men went to a Blaze game.
Natey had a blast playing with GG!
We went to the 4th of July parade in Murray! The boys wore adorable matching overalls that GG made!
Johnny became a hillbilly.....j/k, but with the hat, the cuts, and before the overalls got taken in he kinda looked like one.
Natey is very patriotic and waved the flag almost the whole parade. Johnny of course was loving the mad dash for candy.
We got to see cute baby Russell for the first time, and he is a doll! Congrats Morrie and Michelle!
I found this little steal at the D.I. for only a buck.
I know, not so pretty, but wait........
Ta Da! After an hour of sanding, paint, and modge podge, a beautiful new jewelry box for $1! Gotta love thrift stores!
In other news, Natey Poo is now a walking boy! He also says quite a few things, he loves to say "Hey guys", and "don't, don't, don't" and "Sshh...". He's a little stinker but so sweet, he loves to share with his brother and walks around the house looking for shoes and socks all day, he's obsessed. Johnny got to go to his first movie in the theaters the other day, Toy Story 3, and he loved it! He sat still and paid attention the entire movie and keeps asking to go back to the theater! We were so glad to discover we can take him and it's not a disaster.

More About The One Year Old....

Also, I'm not sure on his stats, but he's a little bit bigger than Johnny was at one year. He doesn't walk yet, but it'll be soon, he holds onto things and walks around, I don't think he has much interest yet, crawling's just so much easier to him. He's still a mama's boy, but not as bad as he used to be. He's started to express himself more and talk more. He can say: "Dada, Mom, brother, ball-ball, dog, buh-bye, hi, bath-bath, car, vroom- vroom, GG, grandpa, & night-night". He's still way shy though and will usually only say these things in front of us at home. He loves sharing and tries to share everything with us, including chewed up food and his binky, he loves to sneak that into our mouths when we're not looking. Natey has always loved hair, it's like a comfort thing to him, when he's really upset he cuddles up with me and holds on to my hair. I don't know what he's going to do if I ever cut it. He's a really good sleeper at night now, as long as he has his Mickey Mouse he's happy!
We took this video after Natey ate his cake, so hyper!
